Cherry Blossom Festival - April 2011

We made the trip to DC in April to catch the last weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Unfortunately most of the cherry blossoms had fallen off and been replaced by green, but we still had a fun and eventful trip!

Caught a glimpse of a Robin and it let me take a pic.

They had a parade in our honor (actually to celebrate the end of the festival but we told Ayden it was for us). We got to see some fun characters.

This guy is suppose to be the lone ranger, he had to be in his 70's so maybe it was!

One cannot visit D.C without a trip to the museums. It is free after all! We stopped at the Museum of Natural History so Ayden could see the mummy. Since he is going to grow up to be "an archaeologist" he loves to see things like that.

Our next stop was at Ayden's favorite kids area in the Air and Space Museum. It is all hands-on exhibits so Ayden was thrilled.
