Tis the Season in Philly!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! It snowed in Philadelphia today and they were big, beautiful snowflakes! It really put me in the Christmas spirit.

Sean has been watching as much football as he can when he is not studying. He has recruited us into his Chargers fan club. Ayden loves wearing the jersey and playing football with his Dad.

We have been catching all of the Christmas events that we can in the last few weeks and it has been so much fun. Friday night we went to Shady Brook Farms where they had an amazing drive-thru light show, fake snow, hot chocolate and a fun playground for Ayden to play in.

After driving through the light show Ayden said "Mom... I can't believe my eyes!"

On Saturday we went on an adventure through downtown Philadelphia to see the Charles Dickens's village and light show in Macy's. Ayden loved the Dickens's village and wanted me to tell him the story as we walked through.

Downtown Philadelphia always seems majestic to me but during this time of year is was such a thrill to see.

We also went into the Comcast building to see the 3D show on the big screens that cover a full wall inside.

And last week we were able to catch the Peddlers Village tree lighting event. Ayden roasted marshmallows with Sean and we enjoyed the Christmas carolers and hot apple cider.

I may not have time to post again until after Christmas so to anyone who may read this blog... we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in 2010!!!
Love, The Schexnayders

Wow, you guys have been so busy. I think we are going to have to make a trip to Shady Brook Farms next week sometime. Tennyson would love the light show. Have a wonderful time in Utah! We'll miss you guys so much!!! Merry Christmas! Oh, and thanks for the cookies...among the four of us, we had those polished off in no time. They were yummy!
