Thanksgiving in Nashville

(Dated November 24, 2011)

We spent another Thanksgiving with Sean's sister Jenny, her husband Kyle and their family in Nashville.  We had such a fun weekend visiting with them and we absolutely love Nashville.  Nashville is such a beautiful city and the people are incredibly friendly.

I did a terrible job of taking pictures during our trip but an overview of our weekend is as follows.

We flew into Nashville on Wednesday night and spent most of the evening just catching up.  On Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving with a delicious meal that Kyle and Jenny prepared, they are such good cooks and I ate way too much!  The next day we went to the ICE show where they featured ice sculptures carved by artist from Japan.  This year the show was based on the movie Merry Madagascar.  I got sick with the flu that night so I stayed in bed and rested on Saturday while the rest of them went to a car show and lunch.  Sunday we helped the kids put together gingerbread houses and rested.  Monday we caught a movie before flying back to Philadelphia.

Thanks to Kyle and Jenny for having us!  We had a wonderful time!

As you can see, Brock thought licking the colored ice would be fun.  His face was stained the rest of the day.  So cute!

Colored ice? That's awesome and so are those coats they let you wear. That stinks you got sick on the trip but glad you got to rest some.

Nashville's still on my list to visit.
